Losing Weight Tips For Quick Weight Loss
When it comes to discovering fast Losing Weight Tips that work, picking out your foods for your diet can be a true balancing act. You have to lose some of what you’ve gotten accustomed to and impart a few items that may be new to you. Here’s some fast Losing Weight Tips that experts advocate to boost weight loss.
Losing Weight Tips #1 – Cut down fat.
With regard to fat, the research is unclouded: Diets too elevated in fat advance overweight and obesity. You ought to strive to take in no more than twenty-five percent of your calories from fat – and that fat ought to the “non-saturated” type.
Losing Weight Tips # 2 – Don’t go for the sweets.
A lot of studies have connected table sugar to expanded calorie consumption. While sugar does not do as much dietary harm as fat, you’ll discover that when you consume sweets, you simply prefer to eat more… of everything. Not only that, but sugar as well makes your body pass chromium, and chromium is a mineral that helps your body build calorie-burning lean tissue – so you would like to keep your chromium levels up.
Losing Weight Tips #3 – Drink more.
If individuals want to keep their nutrients in balance, they need to drink enough plain, nonflavored water each day. Water not only acts as a solvent for a lot of vitamins and minerals but as well is responsible for bearing nutrients into and wastes out of cells, so the body functions the right way. As a guideline, you ought to drink a half-ounce of water for every pound of body weight every day, unless you’re very physical, in which case you ought to step-up your water intake to two-thirds of an ounce per pound of body weight every day. So if you weigh a hundred pounds, you should drink fifty ounces of water a day as the lower limit.
Losing Weight Tips #4 – Get more fiber.
You are able to curb your hunger by increasing your consumption of dietary fiber, which is filling, so you feel full but consume less. For these diet tips, authorities advocate eating more fruits, vegetables and wholegrain cereals.
Losing Weight Tips #5 – Get treatment for food reactions.
A few researchers think that being overweight is the result of individuals craving foods that they’re allergic to. For these individuals, weight loss is highly difficult till they work out what those trigger foods are and get rid of them from their diets.
There are particular food allergies that touch off uncontrollable craving and bingeing. It’s a more common problem in overeaters.
If you surmise that food allergies may be part of your trouble, ask your physician to help you distinguish the offending items. Your physician may advocate that you see an allergic reaction medical specialist.
Losing Weight Tips #6 – Write it down.
Keeping a food journal helps you pin point your eating pattern and will enable you to easily alter it. If possible, have your registered dietitian go over your journal.

Drinking and Dehydration Lead to Disease
There is one primary reason to stay completely away from alcoholic beverages of any sort. Alcohol is incredibly dehydrating. The human body requires a high level of hydration to function properly. Estimates on the percentage of water in the human body runs from 60% up to around 75%. Most functions in your body rely heavily on certain elements, such as water and minerals, to be present and in ideal balance to one another. When you drink alcohol chronically, you are also chronically dehydrated, unless you are doing an astonishing job of drinking plenty of water every day. And by plenty, for an alcoholic, I would say a gallon of water every day would be a minimum. And that has to be counted separately from any water included in your alcoholic beverages. So, if you drink an 8 oz. bourbon and water, the water part doesn’t count toward your hydration needs.
If you are drinking a lot of alcohol daily and also not drinking a lot of water, you are running a very high risk of early mortality from a variety of degenerative diseases. These diseases would include: Crone’s, cancer, MS, lupus, stroke, diabetes, heart disease, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. Any illness or disease, though, will be made worse with the use of alcohol and its associated dehydration.
If you want to kick your dependence on alcohol one of the most natural ways to do it (which may also lead to a spiritual awakening for you) is to switch cold turkey to a raw foods diet. Within a few weeks’ time of switching to eating only raw, vegan food your body will advise you to stop drinking, and for the first time you will not only listen, you will be able to consent and obey with your body’s request. The raw foods diet detoxifies the body better than any other diet. It will rebuild you from the inside out because you will finally be feeding it the high nutrition that it has been begging for. Interestingly, alcoholism is actually a sugar addiction. When you balance out your body chemistry with the use of raw foods, especially a lot of dark, leafy greens, your cravings for sugar (and alcohol) will begin to go away. It happens fairly quickly too.
This is not a diet that you go on to just reduce weight; this is for the rest of your life. When you experience the deeply intense affects that eating raw foods have on you, and you stick with it for more than a few months, you won’t want to go back.

Eat Away Your Yeast Infection
If you are looking to cure your reoccurring yeast infection, you might want to consider considering your diet first. In fact, changing what you put into your body should be your first step you should consider taking when this problem crops out. When it comes to your health and treating ailments such as yeast infections, your diet play a very crucial role. What you eat or do not eat has a profound effect on the ability of yeast bacteria to live and thrive within your body.
How yeast infections happen
Even if you do not currently have a yeast infection, chances are that yeast is living in your body. Yeast can exist in your body and give you absolutely no trouble at all until certain conditions crops up that causes them to multiply and bring with them a host of troubles. There are many different factors that come into play with yeast overgrowth including environment and hygiene, but food is actually considered to be the main contributing factor in a yeast explosion.
In order to get rid of your yeast infection naturally, it is vital that you change your diet. Eliminating foods that contribute to yeast growth and eating other foods that help balance your body’s PH and kill off the excess yeast is the best thing you can do for this problem.
Here are some tips that you can use in order to get positive results in your yeast infection problem.
Stay away from refined, processed sugar and carbs
Stay away from the processed foods. Instead of white flour, white rice and processed cereals, try eating whole grains instead.
Take yeast out of the picture
Eliminate all yeast containing foods like dried fruits, mushrooms and white vinegar.
Take Fresh Garlic
Fresh garlic can help kill off excess yeast as well as address many other health problems that you kight have. In fact, some home remedies call for placing fresh garlic directly into where the yeast infection is occurring in order to clear it up. Fresh garlic has natural anti-bacterial properties yet unlike antibiotics, which are thought to contribute to yeast problems, garlic is also anti fungal.
Replace your cow’s milk
Milk and other cow based dairy products are thought to contribute to yeast infections. Instead, try organic goat or sheep milk.
Maintain Your PH
Having an imbalanced PH can also cause yeast to grow out of control. Try eating foods that are loaded with potassium, calcium and magnesium in order to keep your PH at a optimal 7.35. Foods that you should try include fresh veggies, almonds, fish and lean meats.

Fat Kid Prevention: Stopping Childhood Obesity
Since 1985, childhood obesity has tripled reaching epidemic proportions, and causing outcry over the way our country looks at the problem of overweight children the future health problems that they face. Today, about 16% of this nation’s children are considered overweight with their BMI (body mass index) falling between 85th and 95th percentile. Around half of overweight children grow up to become obese adults ( a BMI in the 95thpercentile) and end up suffering from long term health problems including type 2 diabetes and other physical complications like orthopedic problems, high blood pressure and sleep apnea. Being overweight can also lead to psychological problems like depression, low self esteem, anxiety and loneliness.
Why children are getting fatter
The rise of affordable fatty foods that are high in sugar and empty calories is cited as one of the major reasons why kids, especially children in low income households, are becoming overweight. Cheap, fast food can be found on every corner and even in school vending machines that are stocked with high calorie snacks and heavily sweetened beverages.
Along with round the clock access to these foods, advertising also plays a major role into what children and their parents choose to eat. Dr. Kelly Brownell, director of the Yale Center for Eating and Weight Disorders, points to the 3 million dollars spent by the US government on their “5 a Day” nutrition education program, compared to the nearly 3 billion dollars that the fast food industry has spent of advertising. Having spent 1000 times as much on ads than the government, it should come as no surprise that Ronald McDonald is the second most recognized figure in the world, right after Santa (who is also reportedly a fan of Ronald).
Portion sizes also play a factor in this country’s expanding waist line. For example, 6 oz used to be the standard size for soda, now the smallest you can get is around 20 oz. Children reportedly get 11% of their daily calories from soft drink which equals around 5 tablespoons of sugar a day! Our nation’s preoccupation with super sized meals, super big gulps, tubs of pop corn and all you can eat buffets has led to poor eating habits for children and adults alike.
How we eat also play a factor. Most people seem to be too busy to prepare a healthy meal at home relying on take out and fast food to feed their families. This means bigger portions, higher fat intake and much less fruits and vegetables.
Our sedentary lifestyle has also contributed to our increasing problem with obesity. A few decades ago, before the dawn of video games and the internet, kids tended to get more physical activity into their day. Nowadays, they spend all of their free time in front of their high definition television or computer. Schools also can be blamed for eliminating physical education and after school programs.
Addressing the problem and taking steps to prevent it can be done, but it may be difficult. Behavior modification problems can be a challenge but can also be very effective at tackling the problems of childhood obesity and overweight. The good thing is that it is easier to change the behavior of a child in danger of becoming obese that it is to change the habits of an adult who already is obese. Family based programs focused on specific behaviors that lead to excessive weight gain seem to be the most promising way in helping the next generation overcome this epidemic.
Here are some things that you as a family can do:
- Turn family time into active time: Instead of plopping down on the couch to watch television. Try going for a hike or family bike ride, Walking to the museum, garden or even the mall is also a good idea.
- Let your children play outside. Keeping your kids inside to punish them can lead to a sedentary lifestyle. While discipline is important, encouraging them to play outside in order to burn off that excess energy might even help you keep a more orderly household.
- Start with a good breakfast: Eating a good breakfast in the morning helps kids stay focused, do better in school and leads to them eating less junk throughout the day.
- Eat healthier dinner: Investing time and money into healthy, well prepared dinners will pay off in the long run. Including fresh fruit and veggies, and cutting down on sugar and fat will help you and your family lead healthier and more active lives.
- Drink more water: Water is important for cleansing and repairing your body. Try adding some fruit to it to make it more palatable to your kids. Also, when you drink juice, make sure you are drinking real juice without any added sugar.
- Lead by example: If you are trying to get your children to eat healthy, you can start by eating better yourself. Eat a smaller portion in lieu of super sizing it anf be active yourself instead of just sitting down and watching your kids play.

Weight Loss: Why Exercise Is so Important
Are you interested in losing weight? If you are, you may be in the process of developing a weight loss plan for yourself. For many individuals, a weight loss plan is a guide that they can follow and one that may help to give them motivation. If this is your first time developing a weight loss plan for yourself, it is important that you place a focus on exercise, as exercise is important component of weight loss.
Although it is nice to hear that exercise is an important part of a weight loss plan, you may be wondering exactly why that is. For your body to lose weight, you must see a reduction in your calorie intake. The amount of calories that you need to reduce, in order to lose weight, will all depend on your current weight and your hopeful weight loss goal. Unfortunately, this is where many individuals automatically assume that they can’t eat three meals a day and many actually just stop eating. This is not only dangerous to your health, but it can be deadly.
Instead of reducing your calorie intake by solely limiting the amount of foods that you eat, you can use exercise to your advantage. By exercising, you burn off calories. These are calories in which your body can use to help you lose weight. If you have a specific weight loss goal, like one that involves losing at least twenty pounds, you may want to focus on fun exercises or workouts, but also ones that burn the most calories. Adding exercise to your weight loss plan is a natural and a healthy way to lose weight.
Since it is important to incorporate to exercise into your weight loss plan, you may be wondering how you can go about doing so. In all honestly, there are an unlimited number of ways that you can go about using exercise to help you lose weight. For starters, you can buy a collection, even just a small collection, of exercise equipment. Exercise equipment can include items such as exercise balls, weights, a treadmill, a stair climber, and so forth. Even if you have limited financial resources, you should be able to find a number of exercise equipment pieces that are within your budget.
Although you should be able to find a number of exercise equipment pieces, including instructional workout DVDs, for affordable prices, you may be looking to limit your weight loss plan investments. If that is the case, you may want to take the time to examine your local gyms or fitness clubs. While some fitness clubs and gyms have relatively high membership fees, you can also find a number of them with affordable membership rates. It is also important to mention that many fitness clubs and gyms are open accommodating hours, often making it easy to exercise before work, after work, or even during a lunch break of yours.
Despite the fact that exercise is often associated with exercise equipment, like a treadmill, that is not all that exercise is about. Exercise can also involve something simple like going for a walk or taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work. If you would prefer to exercise, for free, in your spare time, you may want to consider finding an exercise buddy. This is a person who can workout with you, even if it just involves walking around your local shopping mall. Not only can you make a new friend or strengthen your relationship with one of your current friends, having an exercise buddy or an exercise partners often means that you are more likely to stick with your weight loss plan and achieve your weight loss goals.
As outlined above, it is extremely important that you incorporate exercise into your weight loss plan, especially if you are serious about losing weight and wish to do so in a healthy matter. With multiple ways to go about incorporating exercise into your weight loss plan, there really isn’t any excuse for not doing so.

Or join a swimming club and swim everyday for sometime. If even that doesn’t work, buy a bicycle and ride for 30 minutes everyday.

What to Consider When Choosing an Exercise Video
Are you interested in losing weight? If you are, you may be interested in starting your own weight loss program. Of course, you can join a local weight loss program or even an online weight loss program, but many individuals prefer to do their own, at-home weight loss programs. If you are one of those individuals, you may be interested in buying exercise videos. Exercise videos, also commonly referred to as workout videos, are a great addition to any weight loss program.
Although you may have bought workout videos before, have you even done so when seriously trying to lose weight? In the United States, a large number of individuals buy exercise videos just because. Just because exercise videos are a lot different than exercise videos that are a part of a weight loss plan. That is why you should shop for them differently.
When it comes to buying exercise videos for yourself, as a part of your weight loss program, there are number of important factors that you may want to take into consideration. These factors will not only make buying exercise videos for yourself easier, but they will also help to ensure that you choose the exercise video or videos that are best for you and your own personal needs. A few of the many factors that you should take into consideration, when buying an exercise video are outlined below.
One of the many factors that you will want to take into consideration, when buying exercise videos as a part of your weight loss plan, is the type of exercises that you want to do. For instance, you often get to choose between traditional aerobic videos, yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, and so forth. To spice up your weight loss plan and to keep it fun and exciting, you may want to think about buying a collection of exercise videos, particularly a mixture of them.
Another one of the many factors that you will want to take into consideration, when buying an exercise video for your weight loss program, is difficulty. What you need to remember is that many workout videos come in sessions. For instance, it is possible to find kickboxing videos that are designed for beginners, those at the intermediate level, as well as those at an advanced level. You want to make sure that you choose the right video for yourself. If you are not careful, you may end up with an advanced workout video that you cannot even use, as you are unable to keep up with the instructor.
Cost is another factor that you may want to take into consideration, when buying workout videos or exercise videos for yourself. In your search for exercise videos, you will find that they are sold for a wide range of prices. Some are affordable, others are a little bit more costly, and many are downright expensive. Of course, the expensive workout videos may be worth the cost, but you never really know until you order them. One way to help make sure that you are spending your money wisely is to search for exercise video reviews online. This can often be done with a standard internet search.
The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many that you may want to take into consideration, when buying exercise videos to incorporate into your at-home weight loss program. Most times, you will find that any exercise video is better than no video at all, but taking the time to find the perfect one will likely make your weight loss program much more enjoyable.

Health & Nutrition
You probably heard it before: we are what we eat. But I like a more accurate definition: We are what we can get out of our food. Because it is the bio-availability of the nutrients we take in and more importantly: the cell’s ability to absorb those nutrients, that are the determinent factors defining a person’s health and well being. The nutrients have to be in a form that the cells can except them and the cells have to be in optimum condition to be able to absorb the nutrients, are the keys to successful nutrition. These are two often overlooked facts. That’s why most supplements miss the mark. They don’t address the cellular condition of the body. Worse, many are in a form that is unexceptable for the cells themselves. They don’t contain biological available substances that are usefull to the cells in the body. They contain inorganic versions of those nutrients, which the body can’t use. There is however, one remarkable exception on this depressive trend and that are the nutritional supplements, designed and manufactured by USANA Health Sciences.
To help you understand,I like to take you back to the basics. Have you ever thought about where our body is made of? The human body is built up of 100 trillion cells, each cell with his own DNA, which contains a blue print of the entire body. Today, life begins at conception. When the sperm of the male and the egg of the female join together and a cell is formed. The single cell contains DNA,the blue print of what the entire body will be like. Including the sex of the individual, right down to the colour of the eyes. It’s amazing when you realize what happens after the sperm and egg unite. The original cell devides into two cells, each with there own DNA. The two cells become four, the four eight, the eight 16, the 16 become 32 and on and on these cells continue to multiply with an unbelievable speed for the next eleven months. After 11 months, two months after birth, the body has his full complement of cells. Why are cells significant? Because they are the simplest living biological unit in our body. They convert the nutrients we ingest into the energy we need and determine the health of the body. To slow down aging, limit sickness and prevent desease we must protect and properly feed our cells. There are 210 different types of cells. Red blood cells, white blood cells, braincells, heartcells etc. The body’s organs and tissues are composed of cells. Everything from our eyes to our hair is made up of an collection of cells. One billion cells have to be replaced every hour, that is 24 billion every day. Our skin is replaced every 27 days. Every two months, every heartcell is replaced. So, the question is: Will our new body be stronger or weaker than the old one. This depends entirely upon the building materials we provide; that is: the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breath in. The human body is a truly remarkable creature. I like to tell you more about it in my next issue. Untill than: take care and God bless!
I have been involved in nutrition and weight management for over 6 years and I like to share my knowledge with anyone who could benefit from it, I also like to help people solve their problems. EODD: 5 steps to great success with the Every Other Day Diet (EODD)
The EODD is, in my opinion, one of the easiest diets in the world. Having said that, no diet is a walk in the park or else we’d all be walking around in Adonis like bodies. As a general rule diets suck. The EODD just happens to suck the least!
While it is true that the EODD may not be the diet that fits your lifestyle the best, the EODD is still the diet that I think will fit many people’s lifestyles and create the least painful dieting experience for them. But there are a few things you should know before you start the EODD in order to have great success right off the bat.
-
- After you have received your EODD ebook and other materials on your computer, read through everything! Then think about it for awhile, and then read through them again. Do not make the mistake of reading through the information one time and then immediately start EODD dieting. This will be a bad idea because you will not be prepared for the changes in your eating and exercise routines.
- After you have read through the EODD material twice and you have thought about EODD so that you understand the principles behind the EODD, pick a starting date. Your starting date should be between three to seven days in the future because this will give you time to prepare for your diet. Allow yourself to get excited and motivated to lose weight. Imagine yourself thin and in great shape. Fix that picture in your mind and keep it there as you move through the program.
- Let people know that you are going on the EODD diet, not everyone of course, but those close to you like your spouse, children, and loved ones. You want to build a support team around you. Avoid telling those people that will be negative since they will either consciously or subconsciously sabotages your EODD diet efforts.
- Start increasing your water consumption before you start dieting. Do this to to three days before you start the EODD. Drinking eight glasses of water a day is so important for weight loss no matter what diet you go on and getting into the habit of drinking eight glasses of water a day before you start the EODD dieting will be of great help to you.
- Start your exercise routine before you start your EODD diet. This will get you into the habit of regular physical activity, which will boost to metabolism and help you lose weight at a much higher rate. With your water increase and your exercise increase in place you’ll be ready to focus on the EODD eating program fully and you will not be trying to start three new things at once!
If you follow these simple steps the EODD will be one of the easiest diets you have ever tried since it does allow you to eat your favorite foods every week and still lose weight. You’ll not feel trapped, deprived, or have the overwhelming cravings that other diets have, at least this has been my experience. I wish you the best of luck in your weight loss efforts.

WARNING Don’t Take Antioxidants
WARNING Don’t Take Antioxidants
Did You Know…
…that taking high doses of antioxidant supplements — such as beta carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) and selenium — does not reduce the risk of acquiring diseases, but has also been shown to be poisonous to the human body and may even increase the risk of death?
As long ago as the 1950s, antioxidants became known as miracle supplements because they “reportedly” promoted good health and prevented a host of diseases, including cancer
and age-related diseases. According to some estimates, approximately 50% of the adult population in the U.S. take antioxidants on a daily basis for this reason.
Here’s a wake-up call: Every long-term study involving antioxidant supplementation provides proof that people get sicker — not healthier — when they take antioxidants. In fact,
beta carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin E, taken individually or in combination with other antioxidant supplements, are associated with increased all-cause mortality. [Source: The
Journal of the American Medical Association - based on 68 randomized trials with 232,606 participants (385 publications).]
In case you were wondering … this information is not just another propaganda employed by the medical and pharmaceutical industries to prevent people from using natural
therapies, or to deceive people into thinking that drugs are the only solution to disease.
Over the last several decades, supplement manufacturers (and even health practitioners) have urged people to take large amounts of antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin
E because scientists had observed that people whose diets were rich in fruits and vegetables had a lower incidence of heart disease, diabetes, dementia, stroke and certain types of
cancer. They formed the hypothesis that since fruits and vegetables are a rich source of antioxidants (which neutralize free radicals in the body), then taking antioxidant
supplements would have the same effect.
That hypothesis has been proven wrong. Here’s why: http://scrnch.me/82ya4
Fruits and vegetables produce antioxidants for good reason — that is, to protect themselves from oxidative stress. Without antioxidants, oxygen destroys food by combining with
elements and burning them up — hence, vitamin destruction in food (or decay) occurs.
However, dietary antioxidants have virtually no nutritional benefit to the human body. Antioxidants such as ascorbic acid and tocopherols, for instance, are not essential nutrients
– and as such, they should not even be called vitamins at all.
While antioxidants serve their purpose WITHIN a fruit or vegetable, in the human body, they only disrupt normal oxidative reactions in the cell. This is why they are dangerous
to consume (except in the minute amounts ingested from food).
In summary, if you want to stave off disease and premature aging, there is no substitute to eating fruits and vegetables that are rich in antioxidants instead of taking antioxidant
supplements. http://scrnch.me/82ya4
